Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway is 112 miles long winding through western South Carolina.
This is the mounatain and lake at Table Rock Park. This shot was taken from Caesar's Head State Park looking toward Table Rock and Table Rock Lake. Stop at the visitors center and venture down the overlook path. You will come to a passage in the rocks called "Devils Kitchen". As you come out of Devils Kitchen back into the open, stop and look to the left. That is where I took this shot.

Geography
This scenic highway winds through western South Carolina from Gaffney South Carolina to Fair Play South Carolina. Both points are right off Interstate 85 providing easy access. This follows South Carolina Highway 11 for the most part and takes the better part of day to travel if you plan to stop and enjoy any of the various places that are available..
Some of the places to visit include:
King's Mountain National Military Park

Cowpens National Battlefield
Campbells Covered Bridge - I found this site in bad disrepair and not worthy of photos at this time.
Glassy Mountain - I had a hard time following the posted directions and decided to pass this one by.
Caesar's Head State Park
Table Rock State Park
Keowee-Toxaway State Park
Issaqueena Falls
Other sites near this scenic highway include:

Top Photo Spots
=== Gaffney ===
This is a shot of the Peach water tower in the city of Gaffney, SC. It was tough getting an angle on the tower that did not include power lines. I finally found this spot in the parking log of Hames music on a frontage road along I-85. This is one of the items listed to see in along the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway.
=== Cowpens National Battlefield ===
This is a shot of the 1828 Robert Scruggs log house. This is an interesting site of a 1781 battle between the American patriots and the British. At this location you can get a glimpse of what it was like fighting in this harsh country in January of 1781.
=== Roadside Falls ===
This shot was taken along the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway in South Carolina. I was traveling between state parks and came across a turnout along SC highway 11 between Glassy Mountain and Ceaser's Head State Park. There was a lady with a trailer selling boiled peanuts next to this water fall. Across the road were vehicles parked with anglers walking down for fly fishing. Straight down the road you could see a beautiful view of a rock ledge.
=== Issaqueena Falls ===
This shot was taken at the Issaqueena Falls near Waxhaw South Carolina. These falls are near the end of the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway. The falls are a very short walk from the parking lot. There is an overlook deck about 3/4ths of the way down the side of the fall. That is where this shot was taken. Had it been earlier in the day, I might have attempted to trek to the bottom to get an angle looking up. The trail was rough and I decided not to try it this particular day.
