Page 2 of 9 Gallery Overview
This guide is to provide an overview of how you can utilize our gallery manager and help build out the fototrekn image libraries.
Images will be loaded into albums. Albums are located in galleries. There are 2 types of galleries:
User Galleries
Fototrekn Galleries
Users can create albums in their user galleries as either Public or Private. You must have at least 1 public user gallery containing at least 1 image before you can create private user galleries. You assign private galleries a password and password hint. This allows you to share these galleries with those users, registered or not, that know the password or the answer to your password hint. More about that later.
The Fototrekn Galleries are all public. Any registered user can access the images that are located in these galleries. These images are key to the mission of this site. From these images our community of users will be able to research great photo locations throughout the world and build out their treks. Fototrekn galleries are organized by Continent> Country> Region> Album where the album is the state name for the United States. Currently we have built out only the albums for the United States. Very simply, images taken in the State of Florida are located in an Album named "Florida" in the North America> USA> Southeast gallery. Believe me, that sounds harder than it really is. Use the gallery manager for just a few minutes and you should be able to master this organization hierarchy.
